Doug Wins Coveted MLS Million Dollar Award.

Last night Doug and I attended the Calgary Real Estate Board Annual awards banquet.  Out of 5.550 realtors with the board a total of 202 received awards  or approximately 5%.  To qualify you had to have points that added up to $1,000,000.  Doug acheived this by selling properties in Chestermere and area, with only two qualifying sales in Calgary.  Doug had lakefront sales, golf course sales, condominium, small farms and acreage sales.  He sold property in every area of Chestermere. 

When hiring a realtor. you want to know that they are successful, but you also want to  that confirm they are successful in selling property in the area you are interested in buying or selling in.

RE/MAX LAKESIDE ENROLLS IN TRANQUILLI-T

You've sold your home, you can't wait for it to close before you make arrangements to buy another.  Unforeseen situations may occur, causing the buyers to be unable to close on the purchase of their home, leaving the sellers in a difficult situation.   For example:

  • financing withdrawal
  • job loss
  • separation
  • fire
  • a surveying problem
  • death of the purchaser

When these things happen the closing  may  be delayed or even cancel the closing of  the sale. With the RE/MAX Tranquilli-T program, if such a situation should occur anytime after all the conditions of the offer to purchase are met, the additional charges incurred over and above $300 may be covered by the program for a period of 180 days, up to a maximum of $25,000.

 Terry and Janice's story

 Terry and Janice, a young couple, are in the process of selling their starter condo. They have found the home of their dreams, and have an offer on this home subject to their home selling.

Shortly thereafter, their RE/MAX agent obtains a purchase offer, for their present home, from Mr. and Mrs. Somerville. With-in two weeks all conditions are removed, and Marty and Joyce have removed condition on their new home and they are packing and preparing to move into their new home.

Chestermere Will Host PeeWee A Hockey Provincials Weekend of March 20 to 22nd.

Communities from all over Alberta had the opportunity to make a bid to host the event with the Chestermere team being the successful candidate.  The Chestermere team for 11 and 12 year old boys will participate in the event as well as host 7 other teams from all over Alberta to make an exciting 8 team tournament. The event will start Friday March 20th at 8:30am and will run all day Friday and Saturday. The semi-final games and the Gold Medal game will be held on Sunday.  The PeeWee 1 parents would like to invite everyone in the community to come and support the event and the Chestermere Lakers quest for the Gold. There will be exciting hockey to watch as well as opening ceremonies on Friday evening, raffle tables, silent auction and other activities to get involved with. All funds raised will go to purchase a sound system to be installed in the red arena for all minor hockey players to enjoy.  

Chestermere will be playing Friday 8:30 to 11 and 6:45 to 9:15 Saturday 1 to 3:30
On Sunday semi finals will be 10 to 12:45 Championship game 3:30 to 6:30
The opening ceremonies will be on Friday from 5 to 6pm.
