On active rain I found out about a great product called settlement room. This is a service/product that can help you stay on top of your contracts and closings. I have also used it to keep in touch with my clients. To simplify it is an on-line storage space for each of your transactions. You can upload contracts and fill in transaction details. You can have the program email you to remind you of different obligations, or it can email any contact that you set up for the transaction.
I have also used it to show clients their on-line marketing by putting a link on the site that they can check out. You add the client and then they can check out their documents as well.
I am a broker owner so we use it to convey the documents as well once the documents are uploaded from the site you can email or fax it to any contact. It also links with Lone Wolf accounting software so that many of the fields are auto-populated.
They also have a product that turns your outlook program into a real estate contact program that exchanges information with Settlement Room.
You can buy as many or as few transactions as you want. The more you buy the less expensive it is, for 75 transactions they run about $8 each.
So far our clients are really impressed. I had been looking at other providers of this kind of service but they were all too expensive for a small brokerage.
Even if you don't own a brokerage, it is a great way to keep your clients up-to-date and the members of your team up-to-date. You can also access your files from any computer with the internet.
